For the outdoors person, we have Lake Hoskins just three miles west of Ashley. This recreational park includes a campground with electrical hookups, bathroom facilities, and modern playground equipment, as well as a boat ramp and dock. Lake Hoskins has been known for its boating, skiing, and fishing entertainment.

Avid Fishermen and women, can enjoy fishing Dry Lake, a newly developed lake of 11,000 acres, boasting trophy catches of Walleye and Northerns. Dry Lake is located just north of Lake Hoskins.

Hunting is a favorite pastime of many in this area. The Ashley area offers a variety of different hunting seasons at a variety of different times.

In the fall the air is full of snow geese, blue geese, Canada geese, ducks of every kind, pheasants, doves and grouse.During the migration in the fall, hundreds of potholes and sloughs can be found filled Whitetail

It's a duck hunter's dream! Hunters from all over travel to the area to partake in the hunting paradise that surrounds the area. If your into big game, the whitetail season is for you. Whether you hunt with bow and arrow or with a gun, the whitetail can be found everywhere. Opening day of deer season brings the countryside spotted with Whitetail Bucks.

Whether its hunting or fishing, waterfowl, or big game, Ashley is ready to welcome hunters and fisherman from all over the United States.

Love to fish? Try one of our nice peaceful out-of-the-way lakes. They offer some of the best walleye, northern pike, or perch fishing and many opportunities for those "the one that got away" stories!

Whether you want to fish from a boat or on shore or try your luck at ice fishing, we offer some of the best fishing around! Fishing licenses are valid from April 1st one year to March 31st the following year. Some area waters and species may open and close at different times.

Small lakes in the area offer year-round fishing opportunities for the avid angler. They offer great opportunities for your children to experience a family day of fishing. Imagine the look on your child’s face as they reel in that big one!
