Ashley is located in the south central portion of the state, with Highway 11 running through the community from east to west and Highway 3 located eight miles west. Federal highway 281, which is a main north and south artery, is located 43 miles directly east of Ashley and federal highway 83 which is also a main north and south artery is located 35 miles west of Ashley. We have a small airport that is maintained and is adequate for small jet planes to land on. We are are 80 miles from Aberdeen, SD, 120 miles from Bismarck, ND and 90 miles from Jamestown, ND. All of these communities have large airports to accommodate international and national flights.
The local telephone company Dickey Rural Networks is equipped with DSL high speed internet and local phone service. There are both fiber optic and copper lines in our community and surrounding areas. There are T-1 lines and DSL service available locally for high speed access as well as cable internet and we have ATM service available.
