Ashley offers residents and visitors of all ages and abilities a wide variety of leisure opportunities to enjoy. No matter what interests you may have, you are sure to find something to satisfy your leisure needs. From swimming pool to golf course to general interest programs, there is something for everyone.

Centennial Park

Located two blocks south of Main Street on Center Ave, this beautiful park has all the latest modern conveniences including picnic shelters, restrooms, new playground equipment, sand volleyball court, basketball court, baseball diamond and in the center of it all is a lovely gazebo that can be used for live entertainment and social gatherings.

Ashley also boasts a Beatification Park located on Main Street East of the Ashley Fire Hall. This park offers a place to sit down, relax and enjoy the scenery.

Ashley Public School Park

Located directly behind the Ashley Public School, the playground includes new state of the art equipment as well as a basketball court.

Fitness Trail

The Ashley Fitness Trail is a 5K (3.2 mile) route beginning and ending at Centennial Park with 10 workout stations all around town. This course allows users of varying fitness levels and ages to work out together while obtaining a challenging workout. Centennial Park and Ashley Medical Center have been designated as the hubs and maps of the entire course are located at these locations. At the Hubs and at the sites, you will find varying levels of exercises as well as a list of the 4 closest sites.

The 2800 yard, 35 par golf course is open to the public. With water hazards on 3 holes, and out of bounds coming to play in every hole, it's not just a walk in the park. The nine hole course consists of two-par 5's, four-par 4's, and three-par 3's.

With beautiful landscaping and trees, this will certainly be one of the nicest golf courses in the area. The club features men's night every Thursday and a lady's night every Tuesday. There are also theme night social events for the family once a month throughout the summer.

Lakes

Lake Hoskins & Dry Lake

Whether you are a fisherman, or just enjoy boating and skiing, you will get your fill in Ashley. Lake Hoskins and Dry Lake are located three miles west of Ashley.

Lake Hoskins has a very nice park and campground for your enjoyment. There are picnic tables and shelters, playground equipment, bathrooms with shower facilities, primitive and modern camping sites with water and electrical hook-ups, a dump station, boat dock, and of course a fish cleaning station.

Avid Fishermen and women, can enjoy fishing Dry Lake. 11,000 acres just north of Lake Hoskins, Dry Lake boasts trophy catches of Walleye and Northerns.

Pool

Ashley Swimming Pool

A visit to the pool is a welcome treat on a sunny day in Ashley! The pool has water depths ranging from 3 – 10 feet and a diving board at the deep end. A bath house completes the facility. Organized swimming lessons are offered to area children – beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

The pool is open mid June through August.

Ashley is proud of its outdoor heated swimming pool which is located at the north end of town near the Ashley Medical Center. The pool is flanked by lighted tennis courts and parks and charcoal grills for picnic enjoyment.
